Central Counterparty Austria GmbH (CCP.A)

Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (OeKB) and Wiener Börse AG founded on August 2, 2004 CCP Austria Abwicklungsstelle für Börsegeschäfte GmbH (shortly: CCP Austria or CCP.A), which assumed the function of a central counterparty for the entire Vienna stock and derivatives market as of 1 January 2005.

Wiener Börse AG has charged CCP Austria to act as clearing agency pursuant to Article 26 (3) Austrian Stock Exchange Act and to ensure the secure and reliable clearing and settlement of eligible exchange transactions.

Central Counterparty Austria GmbH (CCP.A) acts as the responsible central counterparty for the clearing and risk management of all trades concluded on Wiener Börse and assumes the fulfillment and default risk involved in the clearing and settlement of securities and derivatives transactions. In order to ensure the fulfillment of all transactions, CCP Austria applies modern risk management methods.
