Company profile: Teak Holz International AG, an Austrian company based in Linz, specialises in sustainable teak forestry investments in Costa Rica.

Teak Holz International AG concentrates on finding and afforesting land suitable for the production of the exotic wood teak (plantation development), the maintenance and cultivation of the teak plantations (operations) and the marketing of the teak. In addition to teak as a raw material (round wood, logs and blocks), Teak Holz International AG is also planning to sell sawn wood in the future.

The rotation time for the plantation is at least 15 years, but it is proposed to thin the stock after the eighth year of cultivation (intervention). Our competitive advantage lies in the combination of suitable cultivation conditions in Costa Rica with European know-how, a result of our transfer to Costa Rica of state-of-the-art tree nursery knowledge and management know-how.

Our commercial activity combined with social and ecological responsibility provides Teak Holz International AG with new insights and opportunities for growth. Teak Holz International AG is a fair employer for its Costa Rican workers and applies ecological principles.
