Institutional investors and Austrian stocks

Since 2007, the information service provider, Ipreo, has been conducting bi-annual studies on "Institutional Ownership of the ATX prime" on behalf of Wiener Börse AG. These studies investigate, among other things, the regional origins and investment styles of institutional investors that invest in the companies listed on the ATX prime market. The study also analyzes the turnover ratio, i.e., the frequency of portfolio switching.

The findings of the study supply valuable information for the Vienna Stock Exchange and its listed companies. A comparison of the latest studies with past ones permits one to track developments, recognize trends and derive conclusions for future measures and activities.
