CEESEG – The CEE Stock Exchange Group
The Vienna Stock Exchange is the initiator and, just like the exchanges of Budapest, Ljubljana
and Prague, a subsidiary of the CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESEG), the largest exchange group
in Central and Eastern Europe.
It is the primary objective of the stock exchange group to strengthen, advance, and
internationally position the capital markets of its member exchanges in CEE. To this end, the four
stock exchanges have been acting jointly as CEESEG vis-à-vis all major international professional
market participants such as institutional investors, trading members, as well as data and index
licence customers.
The Vienna Stock Exchange is responsible for cross-border tasks and the coordination of international projects, and acts as the driver of further development. Each of the stock exchanges continues to support its local market under an independent management (home market principle).
The main responsibility of the central group holding company, CEESEG AG, is the financial management and the administration of the investments whereas the operational business is managed by the four member exchanges as subsidiaries.
